Our Collector Car Auctions are Curated by choosing which cars are featured, after we Verify all Vehicle ID & Vehicle Ownership as a Licensed Auction Business. We certify photos, videos and write the Auction description with the Sellers approval. We offer a Australian Government (PPSR) Personal Property Securities Register result for all bidders to inspect & make sure it is clear of Finance. We highly recommend viewing any car before bidding if you can, but we try to offer a high level of detail & the ability to ask questions to help increase your decision making ability.

Our auction automatically extends by 2 minutes if a bid is made near the end. We also have an Auto Bid system like Ebay that enables our system to bid up to your maximum entered Price on your behalf. This means you’ll never miss out on the Car you want if you are the highest Bidder when the Auction Clock stops.

How does the bidding work?

Use our Automatic Bidding system for easy bidding. Just enter your maximum bid anytime during the auction. If it's the highest and there's time left, you're the top bidder. If others bid less, you stay on top with a slight increment. If you're outbid, we'll email you, allowing you to increase your max bid. If your max bid is placed before the Reserve is met, it jumps to either your max or the Reserve, whichever is lower. When you win, remember there's a buyer's Premium on top of your winning bid.

Click the 'Register' Button & fill out the form. You will then receive an email confirmation. Contact our Office with any questions regarding our Classic Car Auctions anytime!

Bidder Approval

All Auction Houses require Bidder Verification to safeguard Sellers from tyre kickers. Requested Credit Card details are kept secure with Stripe. No Money is taken & Bidding is FREE.

Bid to Win

Our Auctions use an 'Auto Bid' function that will bid on your behalf up to your highest limit only if required. Please Inspect the Vehicle, ask questions & know the Buyers Premium cost before bidding, as all Bids are final. Check Lot details, FAQ's or Terms & Conditions pages or Contact Us with any uncertainties.

Auction Winner

When you win an auction, the Buyer's Premium will be applied. You will receive a Chicane Buyer's Package with all information required for settling the full amount of your winning bid & taking delivery of your purchase. Rest assured, the Chicane Team will be available to offer assistance throughout the entire process, ensuring a seamless experience and providing guidance at every stage.

Stripe Security

'Stripe Financial Services' securely validates your Credit Card details & verifies you to enable bidding. This safeguards our Sellers & Auctions against time waster bids. Stripe will automatically process the Buyers Premium for Auction Winning Buyers only. Bidding is 100% FREE. All Card Details are secured by & stored with - Stripe Financial Services.

How much does it cost to auction a vehicle on Chicane Auctions?

As a Limited Offer for our Premium Auctions, it is 100% FREE of charge. No hidden fees - We DO NOT CHARGE the SELLER when the Car Sells. We also offer Bespoke Options that do attract a fee. This can range from a detailing service to an exclusive Marketing campaign. Rest assured, we'll be by your side with full support from beginning to end whichever Auction type you choose with Chicane.

How does Chicane choose which vehicles to accept for auction?

Chicane is focused on Performance, Classic and Unique vehicles. We want good desired cars that have a transparent condition & Ownership in keeping with our reputation. Acceptance depends on factors such as condition, vehicle history, requested reserve pricing, and more. Please call or email us to see if it's the correct fit for all involved.

How do I find out what a vehicle's reserve price is?

Once an Auction Price meets the pre-set Reserve price required, a Banner will show on the Auction page saying "Reserve Met".

Why is a small hold placed on my CC when I bid?

A 'Stripe' hold is placed for only the amount of the Buyers Premium when you Bid, to ensure that you have the funds. Released immediately if Auction not Won.
